Week 2 was wet and games were moved inside to the Four Seasons Arena in Carlton. It was a good venue and games were exciting! Two games ended with overtime goals in Braveheart.
In Game 1, the Catamounts held off the Retrievers 8-5 in a game that was closer than the three goal difference would indicate. Game 2 was an exciting affair as the RiverHawks held off the SeaWolves 13-12 in overtime. The RiverHawks held a lead for most of the game and the SeaWolves came back to take the lead with seconds to play. With 4 seconds left, Will Smyth heaved a desperation shot on goal from mid-rink that went in to tie the game. In Braveheart, Matt Porter would win the opening faceoff and take the ball down to score the winning goal. In Game 3, the BearCats controlled the game leading by as many as 5 goals at one point. However, the WildCats would continue to chip away at the lead and tie the game. The ensuing overtime Braveheart saw both players get shots on net with saves by both goalies, before Ethan Palusky would retrieve his rebound and put the ball in the net for the 9-8 win.
